"Poetry Sounds."

At first, I thought rhyme was lyrics, but I learned that rhyme is the repetition of the sound of the syressed vowel and any sounds tht follow in words that are close together. An example of a poem with end rhyme is below. The title is Chosen, and the author is Voters. The rhyme scheme is AABBCCDDEE . On my poetry pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at grade-level.
His face simply glows
So happy it greatly shows
So young and free
Just buzzing like a bee
Oh how I wish it was my moment
But i will congradulate him on his accomplishment
My day will come after a few day
Then some all I can think is, lucky
At least my face isn't all yucky

"Twenty-Five Random Things"

I am a girl that likes doughnuts. Yellow is my favorite color since I was 5 years old. So many good things happen in my pass times and there were also awful things to. As I was growing up I always wanted to be married to Snoop Dogg till this day. I'm not a prefect girl. My hair doesn’t always stay in place. I’m pretty clumsy and sometimes I have broken hearts. I always want a guy who calls me beautiful instead of hot. Who calls me back when I hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to my heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch me sleep? Wait for the boy who kisses my forehead, who wants to show me off to the world when I’m in sweats. Who holds my hand in front of his friends? The One who is constantly reminding me of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have me. The one who turns to his friends and says that’s her. I always dreamed of that guy and hopefully one day it comes truth. My deepest fear is losing the ones I love and ants. Sometime I get so lazy with life and just want to give up but I believe in myself that I can make it. Most people call me a foster kid but I have to let them know I am here for free rent. For me It hard waking up and not seeing my family. It builds pain inside of me and the only way to get it out is cry. When I look into the mirror I see a lost girl with fear inside her eyes. I cover all my pain, sadness, and hate that I have against myself with a smile on my face. I love everyone that helps me in so many ways. I do myself make wrong choices but it up to me to get over it and become a stronger person. I like playing sports because it keeps my mind off negativity. I keep my body going like it’s a battery is inside me. School is the last time I ever want to do but I have no choice but to make the best out of it. I love being around Ray-Mond because he is the one that makes for laugh whenever I am down.

"Imagery and Figurative Language"

At first, I thought imagery was images, but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, imagery is language that appeal to the five senses such as touch, sight, smell, hear, and taste. I also learned about figurative language. I used to think figurative language was different languages, but I learned that figurative language is a word or phrase that describes one thing in terms of another and is not meant to be understood on a literal level. The three main types of figurative language are similes, metaphors, and personification.
