"Irony & Ambiguity"

At first, I thought irony was a situation that doesn’t happen they way you want it to be, but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, irony is the different between what the readers expect and what seems suitable and the reality of what happens. There are three types of irony: verbal, situational, and dramatic.
I also learned about ambiguity. I used to think ambiguity was being in a painful situation, but I learned that ambiguity is a part of a text with multiple meaning in which something can be interpreted in a number of different ways.
On my irony and ambiguity pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be above grade-level.

Wednesday's Homework

At first, I thought theme was a part of a story, but I learned that this was wrong.
Actually, theme is a central idea or insight about life and human nature that gives a story meaning.
Some themes are universal, which means that they a broad statement that applies to or covers many individuals experience situation, observation, or test.
Themes are can be found in all genres of literature; the five main genres of literature are non- fiction, fiction, poetry, drama, and myth.
Since I now understand theme, I can find the theme of my favorite movie. My favorite movie is Baby Boy. The theme of this movie is always treating the one you love with respect because you can end up losing that one special person.
On my theme pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be above grade-level.

“Second Quarter Goals 2008.”

This quarter, I will behave my behavior in order to achieve this, I will have a meeting with all my teachers. Also, this quarter, I will pay attention in class in order to achieve this, I will focus more often on the teacher. Finally, this quarter, I will strive for an A in order to achieve this, I must put all of abilities of knowledge into my work.
